Changes to the Provisional Nurse Program and your Permit Effective Date

We recently implemented a new system, which has changed our administrative process for the provisional program. As a result, the expiry date of your provisional permit has been updated.

Previously, provisional permits issued in the first half of the year expired on March 31, regardless of the effective date. Provisional permits are now active for 6-month terms. To align with this change, the expiry date of your provisional permit has been updated to {{FormatDate ProvisionalTermEnd}}. Please check your college connect account to confirm the new expiry date.

If this is your first term in the provisional program, you will receive an email a month prior to your permit's expiration date asking whether you would like another 6-month term. If this is your second term, your participation in the provisional program will conclude on the term expiry date.

Upon successfully completion of the registration exam, you will be removed from the provisional register and issued a full practice permit.
